SASTHA TEMPLE (Thichur) Situated on the Nelluvai - Pattamni route. For the management of the two temples Siva and Sastha half a kilometer apart a Devaswom was constituted long long ago as they had vast landed property which even at nominal rent fetched annually twelve thousand paras of paddy. These temples could therefore, be centres odf cultures and charity. But after the Land Act of 1970, they could not be maintained properly. The majestic Sastha temple with Gopuras in east and west is a sight to see. But even daily rites could hardly be performed for want of funds.
